9 charming fans in pretty Japanese cottons made with foundation piecing. Simple quilting with metallic thread gives a subtle sparkle.

Kit contains:
11 different patterns for fans
black cotton for front and back
attractive plaited top black tassel

You supply:
metallic thread for quilting
foundation paper /stabilizer
(eg copy paper, tracing paper, specialist foundation paper
stitch ‘n tear )
wadding size 36cm (approx 14 in) square

Indigo Pin Cushion Kit --- £6.00 - euro 9.00€

The design is based on the Japanese furoshiki wrapping cloth. The outer cotton is a hand dyed genuine indigo cotton and is fastened with a traditionally shaped little fastener . The sashiko motifs are typical of Sakata and Tsuruoka in northern Japan. Faux patchwork cotton and tsumugi cotton give the Japanese country look.
